Welcome to our Farm

Welcome to Southern Star Performance Horses, we are a small family-owned farming operation that is located in the San Luis Valley in Southern Colorado.  Owners Glenn and Rebecca Sykes are alfalfa farmers, and cattle and horse breeders; their two children help with all aspects of the farming and horse operations.  Southern Star Performance Horses raises registered American Quarter Horses and American Paint Horses; we specialize in good natured, level-headed, all-around gentle horses that can be used in a variety of situations.  Our bloodlines include: Docs Hickory, Paddy’s Irish Whiskey, CD Olena, Dash for Cash, Corona Cartel, Poco Bueno, High Brow Cat, Raise the Pay, Fire Water Flit, Blue Valentine, Gold Fingers, and Two Eyed Jack to name a few.  Our vision is to produce high quality registered Quarter and Paint Horses that are both functional and affordable for our customers.
